Shiny happy people
Last Thursday we had the pleasure of going to the ProductionBase Awards where we were nominated as Best Production Company to Work For 2010. This was obviously a big excitement for us, especially because we were nominated for the award by our own members of staff and chosen as finalists by some of the industry big-wigs.
Being a ‘nice company to work for’ is a big deal for markthree because this is exactly why we set the company up in the first place. Having worked all over the place, both Mark and I were so fed up with some other production companies we had worked with who didn’t treat their staff very well, we decided that we wanted to do things differently and better for our staff members. The fact that we have been nominated for this award shows me that we are achieving this, that our staff are happy with us and enjoying the way we work together.
We are very much looking forward to the next awards ceremony on Monday 29 November which are the Cultural Diversity Network Awards. As a company that prides itself on inclusion, we are very happy to be recognised for this too, and I am excited that I get to buy a new dress!

And the award goes to…
…well, the truth is we don’t know yet, but we’re delighted to announce that we’ve been nominated for some top TV industry awards.
First up, we’ve been nominated in the ProductionBase Freelancer of the Year Awards as Best Production Company to Work For. This is a big honour for us, especially as we are up against some high-profile competitors. Winners will be announced on November 11th, and we’ll be sure to let you know how we get on.
Secondly, we’ve been shortlisted for the Cultural Diversity Network (CDN) DIversity Awards in the Mentoring Recognition category, which celebrates those who have worked to improve diversity and representation in the industry by going beyond the call of duty and most effectively guiding and supporting their mentees/protégés. The ceremony, hosted by Gok Wan, takes place at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden on November 29, and highlights from the night will be broadcast on Channel 4 in a special programme celebrating diversity on television. Make sure you tune in.
Welcome to our new website
After much blood, sweat, tears and swearing, the all new markthree media website has finally arrived. Here you’ll be able to keep track of all the latest goings on, as well as being able to see the latest examples of our work. Exciting stuff, it’s true. We’re now on Facebook, Twitter and Flickr, so there’s literally no excuse not to stay connected.
